This Privacy Policy explains how Lansum International Group and its affiliated companies (collectively, “Lansum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information through the Lansum websites that link to this Policy, including lansum.com and lansum.cn (collectively, the “Websites”).

1.Personal Information We Collect

Lansum collects personal information through the Websites only in the following circumstances:

Contact Us Form

When you contact us, we may collect:

  • your name;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • city;
  • company or organization;
  • the content of your inquiry; and
  • any other information you voluntarily include in your message.

Résumé and Job Applications

When you submit a résumé or apply for a position, we may collect:

  • your name and contact information;
  • résumé or curriculum vitae;
  • employment history;
  • education and professional qualifications;
  • skills, certifications, and other application materials;
  • the position for which you are applying; and
  • other information you voluntarily provide in connection with your application.

Please do not include Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account information, medical information, or other highly sensitive information in a résumé or general website submission unless Lansum specifically requests it through an appropriate secure process.

Basic Technical Information

Like most websites, our web servers may automatically record limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the Websites, such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device type;
  • operating system;
  • requested pages;
  • access dates and times; and
  • security and diagnostic information.

Lansum does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, advertising pixels, or similar third-party behavioral tracking technologies on the Websites.

2.How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to questions, comments, and business inquiries;
  • communicate about Lansum’s products, services, projects, and potential business relationships;
  • evaluate job applicants and manage the recruitment process;
  • operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the Websites;
  • prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
  • maintain appropriate business, recruitment, and compliance records;
  • comply with applicable laws and legal processes; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without providing additional notice or obtaining consent where required by law.

3.How We Disclose Personal Information

Lansum may disclose personal information only to:

  • Lansum affiliated companies, when reasonably necessary to respond to an inquiry, evaluate a business opportunity, or process a job application;
  • service providers and contractors that provide website hosting, email, IT support, cybersecurity, data storage, or recruitment support on Lansum’s behalf;
  • professional advisers, such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, and consultants;
  • governmental authorities or other parties, when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety, property, or the security of our operations;
  • parties involved in a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of part of a Lansum business; and
  • other parties at your direction or with your consent.

Service providers and contractors may process personal information only for the services they perform for Lansum and are expected to protect it appropriately.

4.No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

Lansum does not sell personal information.

Lansum does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not use personal information collected through the Websites to create advertising profiles.

Lansum does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.

Lansum does not have actual knowledge that it sells or shares the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

5.Cookies and Tracking Signals

The Websites do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

The Websites may use limited cookies or similar technologies when technically necessary for website functionality, security, session management, or form submission.

Because Lansum does not track visitors across unrelated websites and does not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising, browser “Do Not Track” signals and opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control do not change Lansum’s current data practices.

If Lansum introduces analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy and any required website notices or consent controls will be updated before those technologies are activated.

6.Data Retention

Lansum retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

Our general retention periods are:

  • Contact forms and general inquiries: ordinarily up to 24 months after the inquiry is resolved, unless the information becomes part of an ongoing business relationship or longer retention is required for legal, security, or compliance purposes.
  • Résumés and job application records: ordinarily four years after the recruitment process concludes, or longer if required by applicable law or relevant to an employment relationship.
  • Basic website and security logs: ordinarily up to 12 months, unless longer retention is reasonably necessary to investigate a security incident, prevent fraud, maintain system integrity, or comply with law.
  • Legal and compliance records: for the period required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, Lansum will delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

7.Data Security

Lansum uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no website, email system, storage system, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not submit highly sensitive or confidential information through a general website form or ordinary email.

8.International Processing

Lansum operates through affiliated companies and teams in the United States and China. Personal information submitted through the Websites may therefore be accessed, processed, or stored in the United States, China, or other locations where Lansum’s service providers operate.

Where required by applicable law, Lansum will take appropriate measures to protect personal information transferred across jurisdictions.

9.Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request information about the personal information Lansum collects, uses, and discloses;
  • request access to or a copy of your personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • exercise applicable privacy rights without discrimination or retaliation.

California residents may also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act when that law applies to the relevant Lansum entity and processing activity.

Because Lansum does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no need to submit a request to opt out of those activities.

To submit a privacy request, email hr@lansum.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Please describe your request and provide sufficient information for us to identify the relevant records.

We may request additional information to reasonably verify your identity and protect personal information against unauthorized access or disclosure. Verification information will be used only to process the request.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf where permitted by law. Lansum may request evidence of the agent’s authority and may contact you directly to verify the request.

10.Children’s Privacy

The Websites are intended for business, employment, and general informational purposes and are not directed to children under 13 years of age.

Lansum does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Websites. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11.Third-Party Websites

The Websites may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. Lansum is not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of those third parties. You should review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

12.Changes to This Privacy Policy

Lansum may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in its practices, technology, services, or legal obligations.

The updated Policy will be posted on the Websites, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised. Lansum will provide additional notice of material changes when required by law.
